Team Management
VanityCert's team management features allow you to securely invite colleagues and manage their access to your organization's domains, settings, and billing information.
Inviting a New Team Member
To invite a new user to your organization:
- Navigate to Settings > Team.
- Click the "Invite Member" button.
- Enter the email address of the person you want to invite.
The new member will receive an email invitation to join your organization. If they don't have an existing VanityCert account, they will be prompted to create one. You cannot invite emails that already have an existing account with VanityCert.
Roles and Permissions
Each user in your organization is assigned a specific role that defines their access level. By default, any user you invite will start as a User. You can update the roles by referring to the Managing Team Members section below. Here is a breakdown of what each role can do:
| Role | Description | Permissions |
|---|---|---|
| Admin | Has full access to all features and settings. | • Manage team members (invite, remove, change roles) • Manage API keys • View and manage all domains • Access and modify billing information |
| Developer | Can manage domains and API keys, but has no access to billing or team settings. | • Manage API keys • View and manage all domains • Cannot invite new users or access billing |
| User | A read-only role with no administrative privileges. | • View domains and their status • Cannot manage domains, API keys, team members, or billing |
Managing Team Members
As an Admin, you can manage existing team members from the Team Management page. You can access this page by clicking the ... menu beside a user and select manage user.
- Change Role: To change a member's role, simply select the new role from the dropdown menu next to their name.
- Remove Member: To remove a member from your organization, click the "Remove" button next to their name. This action cannot be undone.
